Question
Vuforia Chalk Network Troubleshooting
Network Connectivity:
- Run below test to determine if there is an issue with your network blocking access to resources Chalk needs
- Ensure that below ports are open:
- Some corporate networks may block UDP in their network configuration, which may prohibit use of Chalk within that network.
- HTTPS: 443
- UDP: 10,000 - 60,000, 3478
- Must have configuration for all Chalk users:
- global.vss.twilio.com, Port 443, Protocol WSS
- sdkgw.us1.twilio.com, Port 443, Protocol WSS
- ecs.us1.twilio.com, Port 443, Protocol HTTPS
- Additional regional connectivity requirements can be found here: https://www.twilio.com/docs/video/ip-address-whitelisting#media-servers
- See our Network Configuration Recommendations help topic for additional information
Call Quality:
- 2.8 Mbps + is recommended for best quality
- At or below 0.5Mbps may result in poor call quality
- Remote users should enable 'low bandwidth mode' within call
- This enables remote users to still view high quality images with a slight delay from the Local user
- Ensure that devices used for Chalk are supported
- See https://chalk.vuforia.com/content/vuforia-chalk/en/download-chalk.html for a list of all current support devices
