3D model opacity

hi, i am doing a hololens project. i am trying to change the opacity of my model that has animation in it. 

I tried to change the opacity of the model but it is still opaque and no changes at all.

does anyone have any ideas?

Maybe you attached an image but we can't see it in your post...

Can you please specify (JS code) how are you trying to change the opacity?

This has been a bit of a moving target, especially on the HoloLens.  Have a look here for more information.

 

But I've found that in the latest version of the app - 8.3.6, I can use JS to set the opacity of the model widget and it will change the display even when playing the sequence.  This didn't work in 8.3.5, so make sure that your app on the HoloLens is up to date.

Don't forget... the choice of colours for the model greatly impacts on how the model renders in the HoloLens, for instance, black has a tendency to render almost completely transparent, and so on. Might not be the solution to your issue, but worth bearing in mind all the same.
