I want add a description to the value being shown on a 3d lable

I assume you are talking about adding additional text to a 3D Gauge? The easiest way is just to add an additional 3D label widget and put your text in there. I don't believe it is possible to add additional lines of text to a 3D gauge.

No not the 3d gauge. For a 3d label, I need to show what that field is. Eg temperature I need to show temperature and then display temperature below that on a 3d lable
