How to Select Parts with a Tap

Inside a semi-transparent box, there are parts. I want to select these parts with a tap.
The box and parts are separate pvz files.
It seems userpick event doesn't have properties that easily achieve this.
Please share any brilliant ideas or tricks to make this happen.
