Hello community,

I have just seen this article online: 

Microsoft abandons Hololens 2 

 

This could have a HUGE impact on Vuforia Studio applications with Hololens 2.

 

PTC, could you please give us more information about it?

There will be new devices compatible with Vuforia Studio?

    Hi @aletenti ,

    thanks for pointing on that article. Because such statement /about impact of HL2 support/ could be done only by Product Managment or R&D team , therefore I reported that issue as Jira ticket VTS-2175. When I receive  an offical statement I will share it here. Also possibly the PM or R&D will share information  directly to this topic. Thank you!

      @aletenti Vuforia and Microsoft have a long-standing partnership, and we have worked closely with them regarding the HoloLens 2. Vuforia will continue to support the HoloLens 2. In addition, the Vuforia team is working on alternative solutions for hands free tasks so that customers using the Hololens 2 today will have a path forward when the Hololens 2 is no longer available.
