near clipping plane not working

Hello everyone, 

in the properties of the 3D-Container you can adjust the near clipping plane. Changing the value has no impact on the preview no impact on the Application on the Tablet (iPad Gen.6). I want to use it in order to cut through my 3D-Models. I have also checked in the console by using “console.log($scope.app);” if the camera has the clipping plane value assigned (yes it does).

I use Vuforia Studio 8.3.3

Does anybody know how to solve this issue?
