Slow image loading

Hi,

I build a wizard-like app. On every view I add a small image (~ 450 x 650 px / ~ 200 KB). On preview the images are displayed immediately. On the realware hmt-1 and on a tablet it takes 10 to 20 seconds to display the images. Small icon images (64 x 64 px / ~ 4KB) are displayed immediately.

Have someone else this problem? Can I speed up the process or preload the images on app start?
