UR5 Robot Hierarchy / Parent-Child Issue After FBX Import into Vuforia Studio

Hello,

I created a UR5-style robot in Blender with a correct parent-child hierarchy.
Inside Blender, all joints move correctly as a full kinematic chain.

After exporting to FBX and importing into Vuforia Studio, the hierarchy seems broken:

  • parts rotate independently
  • child links do not follow the parent
  • the robot falls apart when using slider

Questions:

  1. Does Vuforia Studio fully support Blender FBX hierarchies?
  2. Should Armatures/Bones be avoided?
  3. Is PVZ/Creo Illustrate recommended instead of FBX for articulated robots?
    4. How can I implement it correctly?

My goal is to control the robot with sliders in Vuforia Studio so that it behaves like a real UR5 robot, where moving one joint also moves all following links correctly as a proper kinematic chain.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You posted this in the 3D Part and Assembly Design part of the forums. Not the place to be asking Vuforia Studio questions. You might want to ask the moderators to put your question in the correct subgroup, where you are more likely to see some responses.
