UR5 Robot Hierarchy / Parent-Child Issue After FBX Import into Vuforia Studio
Hello,
I created a UR5-style robot in Blender with a correct parent-child hierarchy.
Inside Blender, all joints move correctly as a full kinematic chain.
After exporting to FBX and importing into Vuforia Studio, the hierarchy seems broken:
- parts rotate independently
- child links do not follow the parent
- the robot falls apart when using slider
Questions:
- Does Vuforia Studio fully support Blender FBX hierarchies?
- Should Armatures/Bones be avoided?
- Is PVZ/Creo Illustrate recommended instead of FBX for articulated robots?
4. How can I implement it correctly?
My goal is to control the robot with sliders in Vuforia Studio so that it behaves like a real UR5 robot, where moving one joint also moves all following links correctly as a proper kinematic chain.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
