What is the best practice for occluding part of an assembly in thingworx studio when you are viewing sequence?

I would like to occlude part of a model when viewing a sequence but as soon as I add the sequence to the model the occlusion is over ridden by the state I had the model in in Creo Illustrate. What is the recommended method for getting this right. Is there a document or help file that specifies the work flow to do this. If I hide the parts I want to occlude in Illustrate the parts are hidden in Studio too.
