Windows Device support for Vuforia View

I understand only surfaces are supported windows device for Vuforia view app.

What is reason for limited devices? Does Vuforia view require specific hardware in Surface or just matter of PTC has not tested for other devices? Can we still run on non-recommended hardware?

 

There is customer requirement for heavy-duty windows tablet. Will PTC increase number of supported devices?

    @Toshihiko  Yes,  we regularly review and keep updating our list of supported devices. You can refer to our portal for a list of supported devices-https://library.vuforia.com/content/vuforia-library/en/platform-support/vuforia-engine-recommended-devices.html

     

    There are a couple of reasons for the selected device supportability such as hardware/software requirements. The non-supported device might work however it is not tested and recommended to use.
