Adding Comments in History Tab in Intralink

I don't think you can accomplish adding comments in the History Tab.  You are talking about the check-in comments, correct?  It is not currently possible to do that, but there is a product idea for it.

EDIT A COMMENT IN THE VERSION HISTORY FILE.

You can see the the comments of the product idea that there is a way to do it by editing the database, but this is not supported.
