After ECN is resolved, how can the discussion also be locked (or permanently "checked-out")

Change Object Discussions:

Is it possible, and if so, then how can the resolved ECNs' discussion topics become read-only (like a permanent "check-out") and new ones cannot be made?
Basically would like to lock the discussions after an ECN is resolved.

Hello,

 

you posted this question under the label "Customization", therefore I suppose you already checked with OOTB features like ACL ? (I don't know if you can achieve this with permissions).

 

Anyway, if you consider the customization then you could implement action validators on the actions "New Topic", "New Comment", etc.
