BGMS is randomly failing on startup

Description-

seeing the below error sometimes on several of my systems. The BGMS fails to start even though we only have one Master vault. Usually without making any changes, the 2nd restart does not have any issues.


Error occured -
ERROR [main] wt.method.server.startup.services - Unable to start all managers. (wt.services.servicesResource/21) wt.services.ManagerException: Unable to start manager: "wt.fv.FvService" with implementation class: "wt.fv.StandardFvService"
Nested exception is: wt.services.ManagerException: (wt.fv.fvResource/518) wt.util.WTException: System property wt.fv.forceContentToVault is set to TRUE. There can be only 1 master vault and it should be on the master site. Please set the property to FALSE or add the vault.

Try this help Troubleshooter - Property wt.fv.forceContentToVault = True

 

also check vault configuration usually there is the issue with more vaults. or set the property to false and set cache.

    Thanks for the information. 

    He has only one master vault.

    The property mentioned by you already set to true

    Done to the date-

    We have some details about the Vaults and their properties is as follow:

     

    • These properties modify the behavior of Windchill to ensure that wherever possible, content is stored in a Vault and not in the Database
    • Storing content files in the database will significantly increase the growth of the BLOBS tablespace and may lead to database issues if this growth is not planned for by the Database Administrator.
    • Which property should be set to true will depend on your planned vaulting strategy.
    • One Master vault only
      • If you only have one master vault and do not plan on adding additional Master vaults, then PTC strongly recommends setting wt.fv.forceContentToVault=true
    • One or more Master vaults
      • If you have multiple master vaults, or you plan to add more than one Master vault, then PTC strongly recommends setting  wt.fv.useVaultsForAllContent=true
    • Please check below things once
    • Ensure the preference Vaulting and Replication > Default cache vault created is set to Yes
    • Ensure that the Master Vault is not read only and is enabled.

    Solution mentioned by you already provide to customer .

    The main issue is BGMS is randomly failing on startup? At next start it started successfully.
