Bulk Allocation of Lot Numbers to Multiple BOM Occurrences

Hello, i think i have a similar need to this topic: Part Instance Allocation | Community

Context: Engineering to order, small batch of End-Product <10.

In our BOM, i have a big number of fastener with a “Lot” Trace Code.
All these fasteners are from one “Lot” coming from a sub-contractor and need to be used in the same end-product instance.

I would like to be able to select multiple occurrences (From different Part numbers if possible) set with “Lot” Trace Code and allocate in one action this Lot Number.
=> For me, this must not be allowed for a Serial Number because by nature it is a single occurrence.

Actually, we need to allocate each occurrence one by one.
=> It can be one of the argument to stop using PLM for the as-built BOM and manage it all outside the PLM.

A solution should be to create a Gathering Part in Manufacturing view grouping the fastener and supporting the Trace Code Lot Number but this may complicate things to manage replacement for loss or breakage and later to automate the transformation of the Instance BOM to a product documentation.

The best solution will be to automate the allocation of instances with data coming from a MES.
Have any of you ever managed to do that ?
(Serial or Lot Numbers are scanned as component are assembled and sent by the MES to the PLM)
