CAD Structure to wtPart View Structure Compare

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS M020-CPS08

How do I do a compare of a CAD Document (Creo Assembly) to a wtPart view that isn't the default Design? I need to do this so that I can then run the "Build One Level Part Structure" for the newly created "new view" of the assembly that was just set with the CAD Object as Owner.

Here are the errors that I faced

    Hi BrianToussaint,

     

    You could try the other way around:
    Open the WTPart with Manufacturing view and use then the 'Comapre to Part' action.

    Hello Tilo,

     

    Since the view version did not give us the flexibility we needed if we needed to obsolete a view, we have actually gone a different route and added some customization to our process.  Instead of using the views we added suffixes at the end to act as our view.

     

    Thank you for the suggestions though.
