CAD Window Not Coming to the Foreground When Opening an Object from the Windchill Workspace

We use Inventor and AutoCAD. However, when we open CAD data from the workspace, the CAD application window does not automatically come to the foreground.
 

PTC Support provided the following response:

Due to a limitation of WGM, the CAD application window cannot automatically come to the foreground when CAD data is opened from the workspace.
This behavior is not limited to Inventor and AutoCAD. It also occurs with NX and SOLIDWORKS when they are integrated with WGM.

As I understand it, this issue causes inconvenience for all CAD users, regardless of which CAD tool they use.
Could you share how you handle this issue in your environment?

We’re mostly NX and SW with WGM and I do notice this yes. I ask that the users use the “Open from Windchill” PTC Toolbar menu to open from Workspace. Our office setup is 2 monitors as well, so WGM is on one screen and CAD on the other so this ends up being a non-issue.

    Thank you for your feedback.
    I will share the information you provided with the users.

    However, they used Autodesk Vault before Windchill, and they did not experience this issue at that time.
    Therefore, some users feel that Windchill has made the system less user-friendly.

    Given this background, I am not sure whether they will accept using the monitors differently as a satisfactory solution.
