Can the uppercase constraint on the "Number" attribute be removed?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS N/A Is it possible to disable the uppercase constraint on the "Number" attribute? Because this constraint is already modeled (built-in), I cannot change it using my administrator account.
