Capturing Engineering knowledge quickly

I am familiar with notebooks and discussions but modern interfaces allow for copy/paste of rich text and images very easily. Has anyone heard of plans to support aside from descriptions on change objects?  I thinking about something similar to One Note but a method of focusing and capturing information loosely but related to some object. Having to save files to then upload them is out of fancy don't you think?  There is some drag and drop but screen grab copy/paste would be very handy.
