CATIA CGR Large Assembly and Drawing Creation

Does anyone use large CATIA assemblies? I have been trying to use CATIA CGR Assemblies not very successfully. I have requested direct PTC help, and have been pointed to an article that says it works as it should. https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS369182?source=Case%20Viewer  Does anyone use CGR's to make drawings besides me? Is there a preferred way to do this with CATIA and Windchill WGM?  I'm trying to avoid switching into Structure Mode, so I don't have to spend a ton of time loading every day. Maybe loading a saved state of the assembly? 

 

Just looking for some suggestions from the hivemind that is the internet.

    The topic you just created is Creo Parametric vs the cases you filed were about Creo Windchill Workgroup manager.
    Can you first confirm that the issue happens without the Manager?

    Remy,

    So far as I know we have to use WGM at the same time, as its tied into our CATIA. If you mean just close WGM while trying to open files from the workspace that WGM manages, I can try that. Let me know if that is what you mean.

    Indeed the current thread you posted in is Creo solely (without windchill or workgroup manager).
