Cognos reports on a dedicated BGMS

Hello everyone

With increasing use of Cognos, we are looking at the possibility of running the reports from Cognos on a dedicated BGMS.

I understand that the report requests coming from Change Notice will still get directed to the default BGMS, the one used by the WF queues.

Can we do something about the other reports which we run directly. Can there be a way to direct them to a particular BGMS.

I believe Cognos reports are run through the method servers. Whenever you run a report, Cognos server will request XML4Cognos servlet, this servlet is executed in the method server. If you want to dedicate a host for all cognos related queries (while on cluster), you can use the property wt.cognos.dedicatedHost and set the value to a slave node which has an adapter.
