Compatibility of Creo Parametric 9.0.4.0 & 11.0.0.0 with Windchill 13.0.2.3

1. Describe the Problem

Hello,

 

I am currently analyzing the compatibility of Creo Parametric 9.0.4.0 and Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0 with Windchill 13.0.2.3. Based on the official compatibility reports, both Creo versions have different minimum Windchill version requirements:

  • Creo Parametric 9.0.4.0 is compatible with Windchill 12.0.2.0, including 12.1.0.0 and 13.0.0.0.

  • Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0 requires Windchill 12.1.2.8, including 13.0.2.0

Since Windchill 13.0.2.3 is slightly beyond the confirmed 13.0.2.0 version, I want to confirm whether both Creo 9.0.4.0 and 11.0.0.0 will work seamlessly on Windchill 13.0.2.3. Specifically, I would appreciate insights on:

  1. Any known issues or limitations when running Creo 9.0.4.0 on Windchill 13.0.2.3

  2. Whether Creo 11.0.0.0 has any additional dependencies or updates needed for compatibility.

  3. Experiences from anyone who has tested these versions on Windchill 13.0.2.3.

Study Case -: Two Versions of Creo Parametric are there and need to integrate a common Latest Windchill Version. Well there is no option in changing the Creo Versions

Typically, when they say that a version is compatible with 13.0.0.0, you're good for all maintenance and CPS updates of version 13. Creo 11 is supported only at 13.0.2 and beyond. I think you need to be more specific in your question. "Any known issues" is too broad. Bugs or other things would be captured in the release notes or knowledge base if observed. My suggestion in any upgrade is to stand up your target environment, do a rehearsal and run through validation against both Creo version to be confident is nothing that would impact your company specifically.

I am running Windchill 13.0.2.3 with both Creo 11.0.3.0 and Creo 9.0.9.0 in production.

My Windchill servers are all Windows 2019 and we use Oracle 19 for the database.
