Configuring Windchill File Vaults to Use Azure Blobs

Hello.

The Help Solution is incomplete and seems to be a mix of Server Side and Client Side Encryption...

We were able to get working but we are outside the Instructions..

So Again if Anyone documented the Process it would be appreciated.

Configured Azure to support MSI

Create a New Storage Account/Container/Folder  (Note: we may mistake of accidentally of enable hierarchical namespace - PTC Article Article - CS389008 - Configuring mount vault against Azure blobs failed in Windchill PLM (ptc.com) - So had to Recreate a Second One)

We did complete the Steps related to Key Vault, Key Vault Key, Application and Application to Key though not sure any of that is necessary. In 1st Attempts... In Windchill Configuration we made our own Delegate...  But all of this feels like its for Client Side Encryption... when the Default Delegate is Server Side.

We got to the Point of Attempting to Mount a Drive....  But kept getting Windchill Errors related to Certificates.

We Starting looks for URLs/Certificates in Azure

Found URL link to BLOB Storage Vaults

Opened URL in Chrome to Access Certificate (It does not show anything in GUI Really)

Exported Certificate

Added to Java Key store.

We eventually got correct one? and Mounts Worked.  We even migrated a Vault on the Test Server over to the Blob Storage.  Mount Successful.

Saying all of that.....  If anyone has a Proper Define Process?  We would love to see it?
