Could the domain name is IP in Windchill PDM Link?

Hi Members,

I have a problem during installing windchill PDMLink ,  Our company don't have the domain name, can I enter a IP in "Web server DNS Registered Host Name" when I get to this step?  If not, Why?

Press the start menu with left mouse button. Then with the right mouse button, select Properties from Computer tab. Domain name should be listed.

How are your company computers networked without a domain?

Hi, in case that you don’t have your computer connected to domain, then you need to use DNS Suffix. In computer/System properties on Computer name tab click change button to rename computer or change its domain and then there is another button more where you can set DNS suffix. You can set e.g. mycompany.com and then use it as domain name in Windchill.
