Create a Downstream structure and change the subparts

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.0.0

I have two Subparts of WTPart. My goal is to create a downstream structure in Service View and change the Subpart to another, after the transformation, so that every 'Subpart1' is now a 'Subpart2'.

    Hi @Leon_Dietz 

    Some way exists how to change subtype of object but, It is not good idea to have Design View as a one type and Service View as a another type 

    It will case many troubles during any upgrade.

     

    If the Service Views are different parts with new number then it can be better but still you need some customization.

     

    I would ask a general question, what is a reason for different type of service view?

    different lifecycle template?

    different user access to that views?

    different attribute set? 

     

    LC and access are possible to drive by an OIR on separate views of one WTPart type.
