Create New Document - Name Field

I am struggling to control how subtype documents are named, is there anyway to control this? Is there a way to add a note near the name filed with instructions?

How have you solved this consistency problem?

Are you wanting to try and control it with a list of names? In 10.1 this wasn't doable, but in 10.2 it is supposed to be fixed. We were looking at trying to control a subtype document that we create. I just haven't tried it yet in 10.2. If this is what you want, I will try to find my help call from last year and get you more information.

Brian,

I wouldn't be able to use a drop down selection list as it would involve hundreds of selections, I am looking for more of a popup window/tooltip with instructions or some way of controlling the way this field is filled out.
