Create new WTPart from CAD user can't changed number from generated

Hello,

When users create new WTPart from a CAD Documents it creates a generated number and it can't be changed. Users want wtpart number to be the same as CAD.

In set new name and number dialog, field Number is locked. Any advice on how we can change it?

They are using associate parts and it's the same.

Hi @MattPat 

You need to remove a restrictions from an OIR rule for WTPart number. There is usually(ootb) set the number as immutable.

    thank you it works. But I have another problem, is it possible to change autonumbering to same value as cad documents. Now WTParts are numbering from 001 etc. but is there any way to change it to the same number values as CAD? It should be numbered alternately.

    Set the preference Auto Associate Numbering Parameter to number
