Creo Parametric Bulk Items and Windchill

What parameter in a Bulk Item CAD model is used to pass the unit of a bulk item model to a built eBOM in Windchill?  I have an associated HWPart and Bulk Item Model.

BOM_REPORT_QUANTITY passes the quantity from the bulk item to the eBOM in Windchill.   But I'm unable to get any unit in the assembly structure other than "EACH".

The associated HWPart has a default unit of "OZ - OUNCE".

I tried adding the following parameters to the bulk item model

  • Unit
  • UNIT_OF_MEASURE

In those parameters I've tried "OZ" and "OZ - Ounce".   In all cases, the Unit in the eBOM always comes in as EACH.

Thanks for any assistance. Nick

(FWIW: I'm testing on Creo 9 and Windhill 12.)

If you look at this idea, PTC has no plans to implement this issue.

Look at the QueryBuilder options and 'OZ' seems to be valid for Quantity.Unit. See the attached png.

Dear all,

it has been a while, but I am happy to comment that this is part of an active area of the product development and is under consideration for a future release.

Regards,
