Question

Document Classification with separate Lifecycle?

Hello, currently working with a company that use Document Classification.

They have one document type for Manufacturing documents but within the classification are selections that should have a different Lifecycle than other selections.

Any idea how this can be done?

I see some help info for “classification binding attribute” but I don’t know if that can be used to define different creation outcomes (OIR).

Thanks

Hi @lgrant,

Do you mean that the LCT for Manufacturing Documents should be configured based on the value of the Classification attribute?

Correct.

It seems like a good idea to start with a few document types and use Classification to sort them into “sub-types” and then as needed, to create more wtDocument sub-types.

At the moment, the company does not have separate attributes for all the selections under the manufacturing wtDocument type but some should have the same lifecycle as the wtPart.
