Document object into WT Part Structure tab

I have product level document created using MSWord and Uploaded as "Document type" object. I want this document object should be part of BOM, when I am generating top level assembly WT part BOM report from Windchill.

 

Someone Please provide your ideology on this?

1. Where i have to add that document in the WT Part object to enable it in top level BOM

2. Do we have any other way to add it in BOM

you can add the document as referencing or describing doc and define an alias attribute to show the related doc info on wtpart , then add this attribute to report view for example reference doc use mapping referencedBy@wt.part.WTPartReferenceLink~references^wt.doc.WTDocumentMaster~number

    Hi,

    Greetings!

    What Mr.Fadel mentioned makes complete sense in the approach that the document can be linked to any WTPart (BOM Item), However, making a WTDocument a part of Standard OOTB BOM is , Iam afraid , not the recommended way as it will call for some complex customization. Having said that I can tell that you write a customization that gives a custom BOM Report which includes your specific type of document.

    I would not play with the way OOTB standard BOM report behaves.
