Equivalence Occurrence Link Usage

Hello Community,

 

I came across the Equivalence Occurrence Link while I was reading about Equivalence Link. I see in many places, it has mentioned that its a link between part paths. Could anybody give a better explanation on what this link does and its purpose as I struggle to understand it?

    Hi @HR_10750679 

    It is for MPMLink when you transform BOM from Design to Manufacturing.

    You can set equivalence link from eBOM to occurrence link and use the occurrence in the mBOM on the different place and this link is called Equivalence Occurrence link.

    Please let me know if my below understanding is correct.

     

    i) Occurrence link is established in eBOM. When an eBOM is transformed to mBOM, the occurrences defined in eBOM will also be propagated to mBOM. Essentially, eBOM occurrence link and mBOM occurrence link is linked by Equivalence Occurrence link.
