@AR_01 Of course this is possible.

When you say, “descriptive documents“, a term I’ve never heard before maybe others have, you mean a WTDoc that link linked to a WTPart with a describe link.

Anyway, I wrote a utility that does just that. It downloads all files to a zip file.

Files include:

WTDoc’s content from doc’s linked to WTPart

Representation of CAD that are linked to the WTPart

The WTPart being in the source WTPart’s structure.

 

If the object is not already published the utility will publish it.

 

The utility is run from a custom action in the WTPart action menu.

 

There’s a lot going on in this utility as it referenced configurable links too.

 

It works great and it’s bombproof.

The company is very happy with it.

 

It actually does more but I wanted to highlight only the areas you mentioned.

You could also explore Packages. It's OOTB functionality that includes creating a ZIP file for export. There's many steps though and workflows involved.. it's quite a bit of setup to get it working.
