How to create a Latest representation with Variant Configuration

We are using configurable products to filter our BOM and view in Creo View, however my users are complaining that its too many steps, we are using this method at present:

1. Browse
2. Library
3. Library Folder
4. Library sub-folder
5. Select product from links in folder (go directly to Structure tab)
6. Edit filter
7. Options tab
8. Select Options
9. Open in Creo View

I would like to reduce these steps as much as possible by providing links to the filtered structure which open directly into Creo View.

Is it possible to create Representations which always show Latest and are also filtered by Variant Specification?
