Question

How to get a count of the affected WTParts in an ECN?

Hey,  I was looking at the Report document (here in the group) and in the Change Management section there is a item that says it will get a count of the WTParts in an ECN.   Does anyone know how to do this?   The link goes to the PTC|USER portal and isn't working.

I have been trying the functions out to count the wtparts, but have had no joy so far.   Any hints?

Oh, and BTW, Happy Friday!

UPDATE:

I was researching this on the PTC Tech Support site and found a very simple report they had as an example...  CS111896

It shows using the COUNT function.  However, when I go to use the COUNT function, it is missing.  Any suggestions on why that might be?  What the heck am I doing wrong?

Well, I kinda hate answering my own question, but in case it helps anyone else...

I logged a call with PTC Tech Support and they pointed me to an existing case: CS35281

I followed the steps in that case and that has fixed the issue.  Another symptom besides the missing COUNT function was that the options "Distinct", "Bypass Access Control" and "Group By" in the "Select" tab were also missing.  (See screenshot.)

Marc,

article https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS111896 was already present in my document.

I think could be also useful to know this particular behavior when counting objects in query builder https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/case_solution.jsp?n=CS202500&lang=en
