How to identify if an EBOM is created from CADBOM or by manual action

Version: Windchill 12.1

 

Use Case: I want to have an Indicator in EBOM which informs if the EBOM was created completely from CADBOM (using auto associate or edit associate actions in workspace) & it should also allow me to understand if EBOM was created manually and then linked to CADBOM.


Description:

We have a situation that quality of the current EBOM is by far better than that of the 3D model. When someone want to Sync changes from CADBOM to EBOMs, then people should understand that EBOM was not created from CADBOM and thereby have a more detailed/critical look on these EBOMs in particular.

I am not sure what is your case but the Build Status in a structure show you, if the wtpart was added to the bom from CAD or manually in the structure.

If the BuildStatus is Completed, then the part was added from CAD if the BStatus is excluded, then the part was added by user manually in the WTPart structure.

What else do you need?

I am not sure what is your case but the Build Status in a structure show you, if the wtpart was added to the bom from CAD or manually in the structure.

If the BuildStatus is Completed, then the part was added from CAD if the BStatus is excluded, then the part was added by user manually in the WTPart structure.
