Importing Part Instances from Spreadsheet

I have an excel database full of serial numbers for parts. I am wondering if it is possible to import these serial numbers to PLM from the spreadsheet as part instances.

The parts already exisit in PLM i just want to add all my serial numbers as part instances.

Not sure if this is possible in windchill

Thanks for the reply. I have come across this resource before and it describes the process for Parts but doesnt say anything about part instances (with serial numbers)
