Installing Windchill/PDMLink 11.1

I am having issues with installing Windchill 11.1 f000 on Oracle 12cR2.

I have installed Oracle and created a local user account as part of the install.

When I run the PSI for doing the Oracle configuration for PDMLink, the install fails.

I have submitted log files to PTC and they just say to enter the Oracle Home password.

Up until today, I was using the default Windows Built-In Account, like I have with Windchill 11.0.

Those installs all failed, so today I did the Create local account and it still failed.

PTC has been very slow in responding to my emails with the log files.

I am using a local administrator account for the install.

Has anyone had issues with the Oracle install portion of 11.1?

This is the first install on Oracle 12c R2, but my 10.0 and 11.0 on 12cR1 all worked fine.

    Hi Ben

     

    any reason why you're trying to install F000 ?

    Why not use the latest datecode + CPS ?

    I see in the matrices the Oracle release is 12.2.0.1  or higher.

    Did you try to use simple username and password and avoid special character like '$' ?

    It is a very simple username and password, no special characters or spaces.

    My mistake on the version, it is M020 with no CPS. I figured the installation of the Oracle portion would not change with any of the CPS releases, so I am using the initial release.

    Follow-up question.

    I figured what was wrong with running the PSI and now that worked...almost.

    How long should the Oracle Configurator Utility run to build the initial Windchill database as the demo size?

    Mine ran for 7 hours before I killed it and deleted everything to start over.

    I remember it only taking about an hour with Oracle 12R1 and Windchill 11.0.

    This new install is Oracle 12R2 and Windchill 11.1 m020.

    I removed everything (again) and started over.

    This time the OCU only ran for about 2 hours and completed.

    I have since installed Windchill 11.1 m020 CPS15 on its server and am having the usual File not Found start up errors.

    I need to review some other notes and see what is missing.
