Is it possible to connect Creo view which is opened already and do some operations?

Hi, 

I would like to connect to an already opened Creo View session and retrieve the file information. Is there any API that supports this? if not is there any workaround for this? 

This is possible with Creo Parametric. We can connect Creo parametric with toolkit API similar stuff is available for Creo View?
