Is it possible to create a new subtype of a Resource?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.2.2

Is it possible to create a new subtype of a Resource? I have several Plants, but I would like to create Buildings grouped under each of the Plants

Here are the errors that I faced
Tried to create a new subtype under Resource (with its own icon and internal name) and get the following error message: The type "com.kcp.ad.Building" cannot be a root because it is not modeled.

Likely not. It is similar to this article:

Unable to create sub type for Supplier Part type in Type and Attribute Management and reported "The type xxxx cannot be a root because it is not modeled" error in Windchill Supplier Management

Check with PTC but I think its a no.

I have something like this.

 

  • First National Manufacturing Campus
    • Main Manufacturing Location
      • Bldg. 2
        • Area L
          • Work Center 1
          • Work Center 2
        • Area M
          • Work Center 3
          • Work Center 4
      • Bldg. 3
        • Area P
        • Area S
      • Bldg. 23
    • Secondary Manufacturing Location
      • Bldg. K
  • Second National Manufacturing Location

However, I can't make a structure of a Plant under a Plant so I am not sure how to Identify the resource objects.
