Is there a way to restrict publishing of CAD models having specific keyword in the name

Version: Windchill 13.0

 

Use Case: We want to restrict publishing of some CAD models having specific keyword in the name. These jobs whenever they reach the CAD worker for publishing it crashes the worker.

We want to restrict publishing of some CAD models having specific keyword in the name. These jobs whenever they reach the CAD worker for publishing it crashes the worker.

 

Is there a way to restrict these models from getting to worker.?

Sure with customization. Perhaps a better way is to use searches to ID them, then add them to the do not publish list.

Publish and Thumbnail Control can be used to limit publishing of certain files.

How many number objects are currently present?

Will any additional objects be created in the future using this specific keyword?

If the number of objects is limited (around 50–100) and no additional objects will be created in the future, it can be managed through publish and thumbnail control.

However, if there are a larger number of objects, it should be controlled using publish rules.
