Is there any other feature similar to "Subscribe" to get email notifications about specific objects in Windchill 9.1?

we have configured Windchill such that we don't have the "Subscribe" function available in our installation, so can we get email notification with any other such feature in WC 9.1?

Not that I am aware of OOTB. You could create your own customization, but I'd assume it's easier to enable Subscriptions.
