Is ThingWorx required for a Windchill–Codebeamer integration?

I would like to confirm whether there is an official supported way to integrate Windchill and Codebeamer without using ThingWorx.

We need to provide clear guidance to customers on whether ThingWorx is required for this functionality, or whether Windchill and Codebeamer can be connected through another official supported method.

The only PTC document I found mentioning this connection is:

https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS400634?as=1

I also found this previous community post asking about Windchill–Codebeamer integration, but I could not find a clear answer there:

Any guidance or reference to official documentation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Thank you for your reply.

The article you shared pointed me in the right direction and helped me refine my research. From there, I found the additional sources below and was able to connect Windchill to Codebeamer without ThingWorx.

Consulted sources:

https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS433317

One additional note: I did not need to make any configuration changes on the Windchill side, although Windchill was already configured to use SSL.

Thanks again for your help.

At the moment it looks like that's your only solution.

However, one would think that there will be a different solution coming up with PTC dropping TWX and Flow..

I wanted to add a clarification based on my latest findings.

It seems that connecting Codebeamer to Windchill directly is possible without using ThingWorx. However, I have not found a supported way to make the connection work in the opposite direction, from Windchill to Codebeamer, without ThingWorx.
