I work with WQS 10.0 on Windows 7, and intend to move to Windows 10. Will it work as well?

Good day Josafa,

The Community Help group is for discussions about PTC and Jive - I am moving this to the Windchill space to get it the right exposure.

Best,

Toby

I can't imagine it would.  It looks like the last release for 10.0 was back in March of 2014, well before the Windows 10 release in July of 2015.  Seems like you need to either upgrade Windchill or stay on Windows 7.

Hi Tom

Thank you for your comment!

In fact I was not sure as the Installation Guide for WQS 10.0 specifies “Windows XP or later”. But I received a call from PTC Support, Mr. Saad Zdazi, confirming that proper specification is "Windows XP, Vista or 7”.

As I have kept Support Contract along all time, I may update WQS, and so I checked for other versions:

WQS 10.1 – up to Windows 7, as well;

WQS 10.2 and 11.0 – Windows 7 or 8, but actually not Windows 10, in spite the Guides for WQS 11.0 are newer than Nov.2015.

The only question is if PTC intends to check/adjust WQS for Windows 10 anytime soon.

Again, I know nothing about WQS, but from the admin guides it looks like it's just an add-on to PDMLink or ProjectLink.  Assuming that's correct, and we're both talking about the same thing, Windchill PDMLink 11.0 and ProjectLink 11.0 both support Windows 10.
