Question

iteration advancing without checkout / checkin

We are doing a poor man's migration with acquired WC data by Workspace exporting from the old data and Workspace importing to the current WC. There is a released pdf archive of this old data that will persist, showing Revisions and iterations for both drawings and models thru symbols at the drawings. We want to get the new-history iterations to match the pdf images. Some iterations were into the teens and are a pain to checkout-checkin to get to the new imports to match. What is a good way to quickly iterate these in WC without the many checkout / checkins?? Thanks in advance BW

Checkout and checkin are the OOTB way of updating the iterations.

It requires a purchase of an additional module, but you can preserve version/iteration info if using Windchill PLM Connector to import.

Thanks for the response Lori.

I lost that battle a year ago to the internal PLM group. I am curious. Does 10.0 to 10.1 present a special case against a bulk migration?

Thanks again
