Hello All,

I am looking for CAD Data Loader to load CAD Files to Windchill.

As in Windchill, by using Loaders we can load WTDocuments but what about of EPMDocuments.

These EPMDocuments may be from Pro-e or Catia.

Is any idea how i will do this?

Thanks,

Vivek.

Hello

unfortunately, nothing out of the box ...

Some solutions exists for proE from 3rd party editors like:

http://www.fishbowlsolutions.com/PTCSolutions/FishbowlPTCAutomationandIntegrationSolutions/SolutionsForPDMLink/linkLoader/fs_linkldr_webcopy

http://www.i-cubed.com/docs/legend_enterprise_feature_list.pdf

you can also write your own loader, but the data model is quite complex, notably if loading CAD structures with position matrix and build/synchronise WTPart Bill of material

regards

Gregory

You can also create XML files , based on the import/export PDMLink template.

Hi,

I have customized Protoolkit application to clean CAD data & upload to Windchill.

With providing list of files application will update attributes as well uploade files into windchill.

Doing it through ProE will have a less problems. No linikng errors. so better to use.
