Max Windchill URL length

Question

Hello,We are about to connect Windchill to ERP system.I'm wondering what is the max length of the URL Windchill is generating (regardless of the length name of the server) for Parts and EPMDoc.We want to store the URL in the ERP fields and we have to take care of the character number in this field.Many thanks,Pascal

Hello Pascal,you should create a little customisation to build your own URL ...example:  myserver/viewObject.jsp   and part number, version, iteration as parameter to forward to the Windchill URL ....cause storing directly the Windchill URL can lead to data loss/retrofit when upgrading Windchill if PTC change the URL ...@+
