Missing functionality if PLM is not Windchill.

Dear all,

We are working with Creo2 in combination with Windchill I am very happy with this combination. Within our organization people are asking why e.g. Teamcenter was not selected. My respons is: "because the integration between PLM and the 3D CAD system missing functionality". But to be honest this was not researched in detail. I gues it will have to do with Skeletons, Family tables etc.

Is there anybody who has experience working with Pro/Engineer (or Creo) in combination with a non-Windchill PLM or PDM system? What are the known limitations?

Also the other way around is interresting: what are the limitations if you try to manage a non-PTC CAD system (Solidwork..) with Windchill. What are the limitations experience by the non-PTC Cad users?
