OPT file fill of error logs

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.0.0

Disk space being used by log files in directory Windchill/opt/ntservice.
Is it safe to remove these files to free up space? We had an issue prior to this that we believe caused this issue. That issue seems to have been resolved.
The names of the files in question are hs_err_pidxxxxx

All log files generated by Windchill can be safely removed as long as you don't need them for further debugging of an error. Check the files under Windchill/logs, too, these are the Method Server and Server Manager logs. 

I usually leave a few days when I think about them and do my deletion to free up disk space. I have had errors that generate 10MB of data in a matter of minutes and then Windchill closes them and starts a new one.
