Options & variants for part maturity?

Hi Folks,

Thinking about exploring options and variants.

Our use case is a BOM that has parts that need to "mature" from one identity to another.

The BOM may have a mix of mature and immature parts.

 

Thoughts?

Assuming that you meant to mature the BOM through different 'states' and not through different 'identities'; Our set-up is that we mature our BOM in a different lifecycle template (states A, B,C, P,  where P is serial production) than we mature our Options and Variants (in work, under review, released, cancelled). This allows us to handle these objects in separate tracks.
