Production vs non-production environment in the 10.2 installer

Does anyone know what the difference is between the production and non-production environment in the Windchill 10.2 installer? It's on the same screen as whether you want to configure to send data to PTC.

Choosing 'Production' just makes the Company Name, Sales Order Number, and Service Contract Number fields on the next screen mandatory. If you choose 'Non-Production', those fields are optional. This information is used when using the System Configuration Collector to send information to Tech Support.

I think it sets up a larger area in the database and some of the properties to run multiple Method servers(fore and background) when you choose Production.
