Promotion Request rework failing

A promotion request approver sent a PR back for rework with a very long comment. After the comments had been incorporated and the rework was completed, when the approver attempted so sign off to approve the PR, he got an error “The value exceeds the upper limit of “4000” for “Instructions”.

My assumption was that this long comment (which has 4000+ characters) was the culprit, but I haven’t found a way to edit the comment.

Has anyone seen this error? Is there a way to edit a comment in the Process Status section?

The interesting part is that the user was able to enter a comment greater than 4000 in the first place. What does the methodserver log file show when this happens?

We attempted to look at the log file but were unable to see the logs for the day the comment was posted :(
